Where is Anse Lazio found?

Anse Lazio sits tucked between emerald headlands and the glowing Indian Ocean just at the northwestern tip of Praslin Island, Seychelles.

Frequently ranked among the top 10 beaches in the world, this perfect postcard stretch of sand, also known as “ The Crown jewel of Praslin island ”, earned this title for its clear sapphire waters, soft white sands and dramatic granite boulders.

How to get there

From Mahe to Praslin, one can take a Cat Cocos ferry that is about 1 hour.

Then, from Praslin to reach Anse Lazio, you can take a taxi, which is quick and convenient, rent a car or scooter, which presents the best option for exploring other beaches

One can also use the public buses to the last stop at Anse Boudin, then walk 20 minutes up the hill to the beach.

What to expect and see

Anse Lazio is the classic Seychelles fantasy that carries Silky powder white sands, calm, crystal clear blue waters, towering coconut palms, massive granite boulders that have been shaped by centuries, plus shallow turquoise shallows perfect for swimming.

With other highlights such as dramatic hillsides, deep blue snorkelling, areas around the rocks, shallow calm swimming zones at both ends, stunning sunsets that paint the water gold and pink.

Where to eat near Anse Lazio

Le Chevalier Bay restaurant, which is a few minutes from the beach and provides a fantastic lunch spot with ocean views, tropical views, tropical drinks and fresh water.

Bonbon Plume restaurant (Right at the beach) is set directly behind the palms, as this rustic chic restaurant serves Creole dishes, grilled seafood and refreshing cocktails.

Beach snacks stalls with fresh coconuts, tropical juices and light snacks can be found near the beach entrance.

Pirogue restaurant and Bar ( Cote d’Or), as you’re heading back towards the main hotels and stop here for Creole curries, grilled meats and fruit-infused cocktails.

  3. Anse Kerlan Beach Chalets with affordable with a homey feel.

Activities to do

Snorkelling – head to both ends, particularly the northern granite formations, where you can see parrot fish, butterfly fish, turtles, rays and colourful coral pockets.

Swimming and relaxation – the calm bay, especially in the morning, which makes it perfect for swimming, floating and sunbathing.

Beach picnics – many travellers bring snacks and fruits to enjoy under the shade. There are plenty of natural picnic spots.

Sunrise and sunsets – the beach is tranquil at sunrise and absolutely magical at sunset.

Kayaking – rentals are available nearby as you explore the coastline from the water for a whole new perspective.

Photography – you can expect granite boulders rising from turquoise water, swaying coconut trees, sunset silhouettes, and power-white shoreline.
