Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit this breathtaking destination is during the dry season, which runs from May to October. In contrast, the wet season, which runs from November to April, can make it difficult to navigate the bush due to heavy rains and muddy terrain.
Getting there
By road:Â The Tuli Block is accessible by road from neighboring countries such as South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. If you’re driving from South Africa, the easiest route is through the Groblersbrug border post, where you’ll cross into Botswana. From there, it’s a short drive to the Tuli Block. If you’re driving from Zimbabwe, the Plumtree border post is the best option, followed by a drive through Francistown and Selebi-Phikwe.
By air:Â The closest airport to the Tuli Block is in Polokwane, South Africa, which is about a 3-hour drive away. Alternatively, you can fly into Johannesburg, South Africa, or Gaborone, Botswana, and then take a connecting flight to Polokwane. Once you arrive in Polokwane, you can either rent a car and drive to the Tuli Block or arrange for a transfer with a local tour operator. Some lodges and camps in the Tuli Block also offer private air transfers from Polokwane or other nearby airports.
